STEFDIES is Stephanie Leigh Rose’s ongoing photographic performance series—one body, one take, and a world of imperfect places worth noticing.
WHY SHE FALLS
The anti-selfie for the scroll era.
Every photograph is made spontaneously, usually on an iPhone, without elaborate lighting, permits or retouching. Stephanie turns her face away and “dies” in landscapes, landmarks and ordinary places—shifting attention from the perfect subject to the life happening around her.
It is performance, photography and social critique with a very human punchline: mortality is certain, perfection is not, so be here now.
